I saw this for the first time this weekend. Goofy MJ: did you hear that? I finally saw it: it was brilliant.
My little musical-loving soul is very happy. It is indeed brilliant. I always thought it would be fun to play Lina LaMont in a production of this. “I am a shining star in the Hollywood firmament!”
Staging a Comeback!
Dearest Blog,
I sincerely apologize for my lack of posts. You are a creative outlet that I have recently neglected because of my work schedule and my How I Met Your Mother marathons and my fatigue and my insecurities. These things should not be excuses.
I must confess to you, Blog, that I am feeling like a college freshman all over again. The what do you want to be when you grow up question still lingers in my mind daily. I no longer feel that teaching is the correct path for me….what does that leave me with? I have been wracking my brains out trying to figure out how my skills could be used for a fulfilling and enjoyable career. You know I don’t really care about being a millionaire, but I would like something slightly more supportive than my retail salary.
I thought about working for a non-profit organization, and I am still weighing my options on that one. However, the most recent dream I have seriously started to consider is starting my own wedding planner business. This may sound somewhat silly and insurmountable to you, Blog, but I have three older sisters and a mother with varied interests and skills. I have always dreamed of combining all those skills together as a family to create something beautiful. Together we have successfully helped put together three weddings (my sisters’ weddings of course).
I must say I LOVE weddings, and my friends’ weddings have only enhanced my wedding planning dream. I am very much a romantic. My family has the talents of organization, planning, cake decorating, photography, compiling music playlists, crafts (in general), and the list goes on.
I must admit, Blog, that I haven’t been this excited about something in a REALLY long time. I don’t even know if I can do this, but I feel like life is about trying new things. Please support me, Blog. In return, I will try to do better with sharing the ups and downs of this recent endeavor.
